When I started in 2014, things were different. Now, everyone who started writing online years ago can tell you a similar story. I started as a hobby, a way to reach a few more people than my family and the faithful women at my local church. You never know where things will go. You never know all God has in store. You know never know where the Holy Spirit is at work.
- I've written a number of guest articles.
- I've been published in Fathom Magazine, Christians for Biblical Equality, Her View From Home and most recently, Christianity Today.
- I started an email newsletter in 2015.
- I've endorsed a handful of books.
- I've reviewed hundreds of books.
- I've read books of friends and mentors.
- I published my first book in 2020.
I know why I'm here. I've found my voice so to speak. There are two particular voices I feel called to live out.
Literally, Jesus dying wish:
May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me. John 17:21
The call to interact with scripture:
I have treasured Your word in my heart so that I may not sin against You. Psalm 119:11
Church and Scripture. They are my two passions. I feel the winds blowing again in 2021. It's next level stuff.
- Watch for tracesoffaith merchandise coming soon.
- I'm working on the next book.
- My email list is at 1,100 subscribers.
- I've started a patreon account (click here to support my work on a monthly basis).
What is a patreon account, you ask?
Patreon empowers membership creators by giving them the support they need to grow. With a subscription-style payment model, fans pay their favorite creators a monthly amount of their choice in exchange for exclusive access, extra content, or a closer look into their creative journey.
I'm asking you to consider supporting me through Patreon. As I put more an more time into my writing and ministry. As the work I offer grows deeper and wider, please keep reading. Invite your church to join in on the work of engaging with other churches in your own community. There are three levels of Patreon involvement. Each asks for a monthly, monetary commitment. Each offers unique perks. Check them out here.
Thank you for reading. I'll still keep the blog current. I'll keep writing elsewhere online and engaging with social media. The new piece I'm offering exclusively to the Patreon community is a monthly book club. I'll share one book I'm reading each month (I usually have two to four going) and I'll write exclusive posts based on what I'm encountering in that book. Starting in March I'll read Everything Happens for a Reason: And Other Lies I've Loved by Kate Bowler. I'd encourage you to get a copy of this book and join me. I'll post about it throughout the month.
I've been writing online for seven years now. Some of you have been reading for most of that time. Some of you found us last week. Either way, welcome! I'm glad you're here.
